Heroes of the New Hope is the first volume of the Skytear Chronicles.

It starts with an introduction to Skytear as an energy form and to the four known runes used to channel Skytear.

It continues with an overview of each faction, and then tell the stories of the 12 heroes that are fighting for a better future:

• Yami, Sakoshi, and Akimo for Kurumo
• Corjof, Astryda, Shillavy for Liothan
• Nelaclen, Ixatosk, and Achla for Taulot
• Akhuti, Shafathi, and Ekhrit for Nupten
